Prayers

Our Father:

Our Father, Who art in heaven,

hallowed be Thy Name,

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us,

and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary:

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,

now and at the hour of our death.

Amen. 

Glory Be: 

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,

as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,

world without end.

Amen.

Act of Faith: 

O my God, who art infallible truth, because Thou hast revealed it to Thy Church, I believe all that she proposes to my belief! 

Amen. 

Act of Hope: 

O Lord God, 

I hope by your grace for the pardon 

of all my sins

and after life here to gain eternal happiness

because you have promised it 

who are infinitely powerful, faithful, kind, 

and merciful. 

In this hope I intend to live and die. 

Amen.

Act of Love:

O Lord God, I love you above all things 

and I love my neighbor for your sake 

because you are the highest, infinite and perfect

good, worthy of all my love. 

In this love I intend to live and die. 

Amen.

Prayer of Adoration: 

We adore you, Most Holy Lord, Jesus Christ, here and in all your churches of the whole world, and we bless You because by Your Cross You have redeemed the world. Have mercy on us.

Prayers For temptation and repentance: 

O my God! I repent of having offended Thee. O Infinite goodness! I will do so no more.

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.

O good Jesus, hear me.

Within your wounds hide me.

Never permit me to be parted from you.

From the evil Enemy defend me.

At the hour of my death call me

that with your Saints I may praise you

for age upon age.

Beloved of my soul,

Apostles Creed: 

I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,

Short prayer to St. Benedict of Nursia:

Admirable Saint and Doctor of Humility, you practiced what you taught, assiduously praying for

God's glory and lovingly fulfilling all work for God and the benefit of all human beings. You

know the many physical dangers that surround us today often caused or occasioned by human

inventions. Guard us against poisoning of the body as well as of mind and soul, and thus be

truly a "Blessed" one for us. Amen.

Prayer of St. Francis:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:

where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

where there is sadness, joy. 

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

to be consoled as to console,

to be understood as to understand,

to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive, 

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, 

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Saint Michael Archangel Prayer:

Saint Michael Archangel, defend us in battle,

be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil;

may God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou,

O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God,

cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world

seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Prayer for St. Joseph:

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so prompt, so strong,
before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires.
Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession,
and obtain for me from your Divine Son
all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power,
I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms;
I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart.
Press him in my name and kiss his fine head for me and
ask him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath.
